Welcome to Hamilton Heights Middle School

Hamilton Heights Middle School is located in the town of Arcadia, Indiana. The school is situated in northern Hamilton County about one half-hour north of Indianapolis. Likewise, the cities of Kokomo and Anderson are approximately one half-hour away from the school district. Three towns make up the Hamilton Heights School Corporation. They are Cicero, Arcadia, and Atlanta. The middle school is easily accessible from U.S. Highway 31 or State Road 37 by way of 266th Street or by taking State Road 19 north from Noblesville or south from Tipton to the town of Arcadia. Hamilton County is the fastest growing county in the state of Indiana and ranks tenth in growth throughout the United States.

Jackson and White River Townships are the boundaries that form the Heights Corporation. White River is entirely rural. Jackson Township consists of the three towns stated above. Cicero is the largest located along Morse Reservoir. The populace of the corporation is evenly divided between professional, blue-collar, and agriculture. Most who work in the professional setting commute to the surrounding metropolitan areas.

Mission Statement

The mission of Hamilton Heights Middle School is provide an educational environment based on state academic standards and successful teaching strategies which develops academically successful students prepared for high school learning experiences.

Vision Statement

We envision Hamilton Heights Middle School to continue as an exemplary school committed to high quality education and continual improvement, with a diverse, balanced curriculum to meet the changing needs of our society. Below are the standards, which serve as both the blueprint for our improvement efforts and the benchmarks by which we will evaluate our progress and develop productive students, prepared for the next level of their education.

NCA Goals

All students will improve literacy skills across the curriculum.

Intervention 1. All students will improve reading comprehension skills throughout the curriculum.
Intervention 2. All students will read more self-selected reading material.
Intervention 3. All students will improve writing skills throughout the curriculum.

Students will increase achievement by becoming more engaged in authentic learning situations that require technology use and higher order thinking skills.

Intervention 1. Technology Integration Coordinator will assist teachers with technology use both for instruction and for student use within the classroom.
