Students benefit greatly from the experienced, knowledgeable, and caring staff who work cooperatively to create an atmosphere and climate that is welcoming, safe and conducive to learning. In addition to the rich academic program offered by the regular classroom teachers, students benefit from the offerings of the professional support staff that provide instruction in music, art, and physical education. Other staff includes a speech therapist, nurse, instructional assistants, media center specialist as well as teachers for children with learning disabilities, mild mental handicaps, emotional handicaps, and preschool children with special needs. The education of each child is enhanced through the major contributions offered by the active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Volunteers work in the school on a regular basis offering additional assistance and guidance to our students so they may achieve higher success and have a well-rounded educational program. At Hamilton Heights Primary School, the Lifelong Guidelines and Life skills are stressed throughout the school year as part of our character education program and school wide behavior program. Our theme has been Together We Grow. We invite the entire school community to be a part of the educational process for each and every child attending Hamilton Heights Primary School so we may all grow together. Welcome to the Hamilton Heights Primary School website. The Primary School serves children preschool through second grade in the Hamilton Heights School District. Hamilton Heights Primary School opened in August of 2002. The school provides 37 classrooms to accommodate our preschool, kindergarten, first and second grade students. Additional features include a media center, computer lab, large group instruction area, and a commons area for each grade level to be used for assemblies, cooking, or large group projects. We also offer extended day kindergarten for those parents desiring an all day program.
