The Hamilton Heights Little Huskies Learning Center is an extended all day preschool that is aligned and connected to our kindergarten program. Our program is taught by a licensed teacher with early childhood education experience. As a building block of the Hamilton Heights School Corporation, the LHLC wil provide:

• Open communication between the Preschool staff and the Primary School staff
• A wide range of materials available at different levels
• Smoother transition to kindergarten for students and parents

The LHLC Preschool curriculum is based on the Indiana Department of Education learning standards for four and five year old children. Furthermore, it is aligned with HHPS kindergarten curriculum to increase the level of readiness of students entering kindergarten.

Classroom activities include a variety of whole group, small group, and individual opportunities. Students benefit from a balance of free choice and selected experiences, quiet and active play, and social and academic activities.
